This was posted on my HughesNet homepage just tonight as the offensive started at 0100 Afghanistan time.

     God be with them.

God be with our Marines ..... is right.

Different subject but related:  If any of you have direct access with the Marines in this action, could you see what you can find out about the OPlan stated ROE.  I've read things lately that just gives me a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach.  Shades of LBJ and Veitnam........

If they would just let us 'Do our Job'  without restrictions, we could 'Solve' this problem, once an for all.  'Good Hunting', Marines, get it 'Done'.    EGA

Here is the link to the latest story that I have seen. It is 1/5 leading this

And they do have some messed up ROE as you'll see from reading the article about when they had a village compound covered on two sides.

Here is the latest on the offensive. Winning hearts and minds sounds a lot like Vietnam, but it also sounds like they plan on establishing CAP teams or maybe larger units to hold, secure and help the Afghans maintain the villages and towns they take.

I think you 'Right', Bama . . . Sounds like it. Hopefully, they will go with the 'Larger' teams. ( 2 Co.,-150 men or larger . . . )   Cool
