    DoD Identifies Marine Casualty

                The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
     
                Lance Cpl. James M. Gluff, 20, of Tunnel Hill, Ga., died Jan. 19 while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar province, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

    Lance Corporal James Michael Gluff, 20, of Tunnel Hill, died Saturday, January 19, 2008, from injuries received in combat operations in Ramadi, Iraq.

    He was a United States Marine.

    Michael is survived by his wife, Hope Perez Gluff of Tunnel Hill; son, Michael W. Gluff of Tunnel Hill; mother and step-father, Ellen Sells Betancourt and Lupe of Tunnel Hill; father and step-mother, James H. Gluff and Brenda of Jamestown, Tn.; brothers and sister-in-law, Jerry Sells of Tunnel Hill, Dewayne Gluff and Debbie of Jamestown; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Anthony Cooper of Jamestown; aunt, Carolyn Hatfield of Dalton; 8 step-brothers and step-sisters; best friend, Adam Gregory of Chatsworth; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles and cousins also survive.

    Services will be Monday at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Chattanooga.

    The family will receive friends at the Love Funeral Home Sunday after 2 p.m.
