    Ok, I'm catching on now.

You want to bait us into answers to your ridiculous questions. I'll play along.

    Hmmmm, ok, I'd suggest pull-ups!

I'll concede that I was wrong on the earlier thread. William corrected me, (pardon me, Gunny Miller), about the Army accepting younguns. I may be wrong here as well. If I am, so be it. Still got a bad feeling though.

    Re: Pull-ups?

My daughter suggests that you go to any local playground that has monkey bars and pull yourself up to your heart's content. Much easier than going to a local supply house like Lowe's or Home Depot and building yourself a simple bar out of conduit and fittings. Come on kid, think outside the box a bit.

If things are that bad, grab the top of a door, a beam, a railing, anything. Pull ups can be done virtually anywhere. You can even lie on your back under something and do a zillion pull ups!

Sorry to be such an ass to you, but this kind of thing should be handled on your own. If you can't figure out how to do pull ups, maybe you aren't Marine grade. Ya think?

I'de have to agree. pullups can be done nearly anywhere. Every gym has them, side of houses have the (roof, window seels), your bunk bed? these are just a few to the one stated above, but you really dont have to think outside the box to find some spots to do your pull ups.

Alright, I'm not trying to bite your head off, but come on Northridge. You are obviously smart enough to use a computer, so it makes logical sense that you should be able to think of using monkey bars to do pull ups. If there are no parks near your house then use a tree branch, a door frame, a ceiling rafter, a two-by-four placed between tree branches, a thick rope tied between building, etc. You get my point, I'm sure you can find something.

Also, if your having trouble with pull ups, I would suggest do some rock climbing. If thats not possible where you live then just climb a tree or a jungle gym. The point is, climbing is a lot more fun than pull ups and it works some of the same muscles. That is not to say that climbing is a substitute to a daily pull up routine. It's merely an enjoyable supplement.

    Good luck with it though.

Oh, and by the way, when you put your name at the bottom of your post you shouldn't put "Rct" Northridge. You are not a recruit until your boots hit the yellow footprints. Guys like us, in the DEP, are called poolies or DEPers.

Thank you very much TomB, that is quite a compliment coming from someone like yourself. Again, thank you and I hope you are right.

No thanks necessary. Your attitude, and no fear, tells me you'll be just fine.
