    deviled eggs..?

I know lots of people make deviled eggs around the holidays but they are such a pain to shell perfectly aren't they? nope. I am sure lots of women besides me know this secret but here it is for those of you who don't. my mom told me to put 2 tblspoons of white vinegar in the water when they're boiling. it leaves no taste of course but does something to the shell and so I tried it just a few minutes ago making egg salad and I tell you what. I shelled them while they were hot (under cold water) and that vinegar made the shell slide right off!! it was very cool. wish she'd have told me sooner now I can make them in half the time it used to take me.

Ah, you learn something new everyday.  Peeling eggs is definitely a pain in the butt, so I'm glad I've been taught a new trick.  Thanks!!Big Smile

Thanks so much for that hint.  I HATE peeling the eggs.  I will try this on Thanksgiving.

Awesome! I will make a note of that on my deviled egg recipe card. Sounds like it works pretty good :)
