Below are a few reminders for the new ladies. These are all common courtesy.
No one is a Marine until they graduate from boot camp. If your significant other is a Poolee, a recruit, or still in boot camp, he is not a Marine and does not yet deserve that title. Please do not refer to your S/O as a Marine until he has earned the title. He is simply a Poolee or a Recruit. This refers to your signatures as well.
Always capitalize the word Marine in posts, signatures, and replies. Refer to it as the Marine Corps and not the Marine Corp. This is done as a matter of simple respect.
Respect other members feelings, beliefs, and opinions. Do not name call, degrade, attack or do anything to make another person feel bad. You do not have to agree with them, but you can post your own opinion or response in a civil and respectful manner.
If you feel that someone has disrespected you contact DOCSWIFE or YETI (or the person in question themselves) via IM and /or e-mail and resolve the issue privately. Do not post about it on the boards.
Respect the copyrights of others. Your signature, avatar, blinkies, tickers, icons, and other artwork you place on this board should be posted with permission from the author.
Out of respect for those members with slow connections, please keep your signature image reasonably sized.
