    Glucosomine/Joints

Been taking it a couple months now. I used to haved pain in the knees, tendonitis, etc. Don't know whether I'm doing good because of the glucosomine or a stretching routine but other folks I know swear by the stuff for joints/cartilage. It's worth a try.

Yup! Glucosomine and magnesium..............work wonders for joint pain, muscle cramps, and such.  We also found that a banana and citrus juices helps to prevent muscle stress pain.  (Pineapple Juice prefered)

Glucosomine seems to keep my hands moving free.  When I don't take it they lock up.

Yep, glucosamine is great.  I have bad osteoarthritis in my knees thanks to my ancestors on my Mom's side so I also get injections every 6 months with a substance known as Hyalgan.  There are other similar medications called Euflexxa,  Orthovisc,  Supartz and Synvisc. These injections have been a life-saver for me.  Since I've started getting them, I don't need any pain meds.  It's also stabilized my joints so I don't have them "go out of joint" or feel all loose and sloppy inside. This treatment is only approved for the knees right now but they are working on getting it approved for all major joints. If you don't get good relief with other treatments, you might ask your Doctor about the injections.  For me, Cortizone was worthless.
All gave some, some gave all. Thank you for your service!

Hi gentlemen! Don’t mean to barge in on your thread, not even sure if I am supposed to post out of the Wives, GF, Fiance's section, but I work in nutrition and saw that you had a post going about joints.

For arthritis and stiff "hinge" joints (knees, elbows, fingers, ankles) it is crucial to find a supplement that has balanced levels of both Glucosamine and CMO. CMO is a unique fatty acid that helps reduce the release of Cytokines which cause the joints to become inflamed.

For "Non-Hinge" joints (backs, necks, shoulders, hips) you want to find a supplement that has balanced levels of Glucosamine, Hyluronic acid and Condroitin Sulfate because there is more soft tissues around these joints which require hydration and joint support.

Hope this helps. Thanks for letting me post :)
