    [url]http://geocities.com/millrat_99/marineswwone.html[/url] The patch of the 2nd U.S Army, is the Division all the Marines were attach or part of...I hope that I didn't or don't confuse you that this the 2nd Marine Corps Division. Up to and maybe a bit after 1924 the Marine Corps changed from numerals to phonetic letters. Many of the junior Marine officers would lead the Marine Corps in World War II and some even in Korea of the 1950's. I don't cover the phonetic alphabet, because I have no idea of what they were using back than...maybe I should pursue that for another web page...even the phonetic alphabet from World War II and Korea, is different from today's phonetic alphabet...
