    Marine etiquette for newbies:

My grandson joined last year under the DEP.  He turned 18 on May 18, 2007,  graduated from HS on May 25,  and  left for MCRD San Diego on June 4..   Today is T-6 Day in the Training Matrix calendar, thus he still has a lot to do before he is a Marine.

My question is about using "Semper Fi" in correspondence (or in postings to this Forum)  Is it reserved for Marines to another Marine, or can it be used by family members to their own Marine,  to all Marines?

Please let me know.  Thanks   "jp"

I really don't know, since your Grandson is in MCRDSD................I personally don't see a problem.  But hold off with the Semper Fidelis, till other Marines have given direction on this.

And Welcome Aboard JP.........check out the Mom and Dad's section too.  This place is really for "Newbie Wannabees"  and then there is the "Open Forum" above too.

Not to change the subject here, but you have a lovely little diva!Marine  She already has me wrapped around her little finger, and didn't have to say a word to do it.
There is no "I" in "team", but there are four of them in "platitude-quoting idiot."
