What are your top three favorite "simple things?" (look at my answers for examples)

1. Towels fresh out of the dryer!
2. Digging my toes into hot sand
3. Having a warm puppy or baby sleep on your stomach :)

1. reading a book for the first time after a long anticipated wait.
2. finishing a project (like thanksgiving dinner is always a huge project for me, or knitting a scarf lol)
3. taking a nap on the beach when its warm out and just absorbing the sun and waves.

1. a kiss on the forehead after saying hello (by Kevin)

2. sleeping in freshly cleaned sheets

3.Bubble baths!

Sitting outside in the spring or fall and just being there with nature

Hearing my kids laugh

Reading a book and getting caught up in someone else's life. Even if it isn't real

1. Freshly cut grass on a warm Spring day. I just love the smell.

2. I have to go with the freshly washed bed sheets, too. I just love the feeling!

3. When Noah gives me random kisses.

1) A cherry sluchie on a hot summer's day!

2) A well rested nap.

3) Taking a stroll with Christian around the neighorhood with not set destination. But just to get out and get fresh air.

1. Fresh Clean Warm Sheets out of the dryer

2. Laying out by the pool or beach

3. Seeing my husband smile

1.  Standing by the doorway of the boys' room with Mark, just watching the kids sleep.
2.  Watching TV with Mark and having no interruptions from the kids.  [That hardly EVER happens, so I thoroughly enjoy it when we are able to.]
3.  Lying on a bed for a few minutes after having just made it with freshly washed sheets.

1. Going for walks in town (back home) with Elizabeth and Ross.

2. Lizzie hugs and kisses.

3. When Ross calls me beautiful.

Finding the cold spot on my pillow.

Hearing Sergio's voice first thing in the morning, and he always says something hilarious to start off our day...example, once I had been running to the bathroom all night because of something I ate and whne we woke up in the morning he say "Good morning Mrs. Dootie Pants". lol

Laying down to nap in a house that has just been cleaned.  Smells great and is relaxing.

Listening to my kids laugh. (They're grown now so all of them together laughing doesn't happen as much as it used to)

Snuggling up to Rick on a stormy night in my sleep and waking up that way.   

In no particular order....

1. The way Jimmy walks.

2. Stepping out of a pair of high heels after wearing them all day.

3. Driving on a warm sunny day with the windows down and the sunroof open.

• hearing a good song on the radio that I haven't heard for a long time - and turning up the volume and rockin' out!
• random "hey, I just saw this and thought of you" kind of gifts.  Especially the cheapy ones - like those roses that are on the counters at gas stations.
• the smell of my parents' house when they make homemade spaghetti sauce.

-Fnishing off that last load of laundry when I've been slacking on it

-Walking out of the salon with freshly colored hair and a cut and waxed eyebrows. I feel like I could conquer the world

-When Kyle's standing in the kitchen and I'm busy doing something, he starts pouting and says "Come herrrre..." in a cute little voice bc he just wants to hold onto me.

 I have to say that I agree on that one. Even though my eyes are red for like a whole day, I sort of like the pain of the waxed eyebrows!!!

Brand new socks

Finding the time to give myself a pedicure. I feel like I am pampering myself.

The end of the night after I cook dinner and the dishes are done and I can curl up with Jordan on the couch and watch tv.

After we pay all the bills for the month and the rest of our money is discretionary.

Friday evening at 6 pm when I get paid and still have the whole weekend ahead of me.

Feeling the sun on my shoulders for the first time of the season.

1-  taking a warm long bubble bath

2- getting my hair done at the salon or played with by joe or my nephew.

3- waking up with breakfast made for me

1) When my kitty lays down next to me and falls asleep with my arm around him so I'm holding him like a teddy bear. He very rarely will let me do that.

2) "Talking" to my step dad and thinking about what his response would be. Remembering things about him. Thinking of what he would say back to me gives me a sense of calm. (He's in heaven)

3) When Jimmy comes up with a silly or cute new pet name for me and we crack up.
