The first Marine casuality (KIA) of Operation Irqaqi Freedom was Marine mustang 2nd Lt Shane Childers. This book chronicals his amazing life and his sad death as told through the Marine Casuality Officer assigned to "take care" of the family during the grieving process. It is quite a good read. It certainly is a mornful but shining example of Semper Fidelis.
