    "SEMPER GUMBY"

I found this reference to herself in  BLOG written by a TV Station employee who is a also a Marine MOM.  She used in when refering to herself, Always Flexable.  Her blog was started when she accomanied a group of High School educators on a tour of Parris Island.
Here is a link to the Blog, it reads best if you start at the bottom and read in date sequence.

Richard, thanks for posting this. As an official Marine Dad, as of next Friday, I sent her an email thanking her for what she does.

Jimmy Mac, when are you comin back?

Thank you Jim. I am a regular poster up above in both Open Marine Forum and Marine Only Forum. Being a Marine myself, I do have some anxieties about my son Tim. After the Basic Scool at Quantico, he will be off ot Pensacola, as he has a flight contract.

Welcome to the Parents Forum.  Don't forget to get added to the Private Parents Forum when you become a DOM, Dad of Marine.

Sorry, I guess my offer sounds kind of stupid now.  I was just making an offer of help.  Guess most Marines can get by on their own.  Jim

He'll find out it's different being a Marine Dad than being a Marine.

    Re: "SEMPER GUMBY"

Jim, I did not in any way mean I know what I'm doing. If it came off that way, I apologize. I am a boot dad to the whole parent thing of a Marine. I will be checking down here quite frequently. And again, thanks for the offer.

No apology necessary.  I felt kind of like a duffus when I realized that you were a Marine.  If I can help in any way, let me know.  Jim
