    New message sent : )

Has anyone heard from George ? I sent him several e mails and have not had a reply. Just don't want to wait to the last minute and you all have a hard time finding good rooms. Not sure if Chattanooga is hosting the softball games this year or not.

    Heads up everyone.

George called me this afternoon and due to some unforseen circumstances, he hasn't been able to work out a deal with any particular hotel. He told me to pass on to everyone that they would need to make their own reservations and that he was very sorry that he wasn't able to get this done.

He does plan on being there in June.

With that being said, here is the website to the Hampton Inn that most of us stayed at last year. As far as I know, no one had any complaints about it.

    http://www.hamptoninn.com/en/hp/hotels/index.jhtml?ctyhocn=CHASFHX

    Phone number 423-855-0095

Barb told me to also tell all of you that if she could help you with making phone calls for reservations, just to let her know and she'd be glad to help.

Later that night, while I was thinking about the day's somber events, Cpl. Richard A. Mason, an infantryman with Headquarters Platoon, who, in the short time I was with the company became a good friend, told me, "You're still here, don't forget that. Tell your kids, your grandkids, what Sgt. Peralta did for you and the other Marines today."

I generally use my AAA membership, to make reservations. They can get me a better deal. Our first year there, we were able to get a room with alot of extras for less than others paid for a regular room.

I made my reservations this morning. Hampton Inn on Shallowford Road, checking in on Thursday June 26th and checking out on Sunday June 29th.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again. And I'm pretty sure I'll be in a better mood than I was last year. I shouldn't have even been there last year and my apologies if I offended anyone with my moodiness.

Later that night, while I was thinking about the day's somber events, Cpl. Richard A. We had a great time last year and are looking forward to seeing everyone again. Made our reservations last night for Fri - Sun at the LaQuinta Inn next to the Hampton Inn on Shallowford Road. The rate was $59 a night.

    Ok Ya'All!!!

    Time is getting close!

The yard is looking about as good as it is going to. The deck is summer cleaned and nearly ready for you all.

I need to know if there is anyone that needs me to get you phone #s for motels or make reservations for you.

I also need some kind of head count. As always, a exact count isn't necessary, but I do need some kind of idea who is going to be here.

I had a call from Heather earlier this evening and was told she and Yeti WILL NOT be here. They are going camping with some friends before these friends get transferred out of the D C area.

Roy, I am guessing your friend is taking care of T off times???

Any special request for food or drink?

As always, I am really forward to the week end.

I'll be there Thursday afternoon and leaving Sunday, probably after the breakfast. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

By way of giving this a bump:

Okay.....I'll get tee times for golf and need to know who else might want to play. I am assuming that Danny and Nancy will.

Danny, where do you and Nancy like best, of where we have played so far? (Nancy will probably say "the one with the fountain!"Big Smile).

Is the Hampton the hotel where we stayed when JimMc was with us? Is that where you all are stayng this time?

Better get ready to saddle-up , people. We are less than 3 weeks away now!

Hey ya'll! Barb- I am sorry I have not contacted you. Life was crazy for a while but things are slowing back down. I will try to send you a message to see what I can do. As of now, Kate and I plan on being there. We are looking forward to it.

Speaking of HOT DAMNS... I really don't know what you Gals see in them.  I keep trying them and trying them, but they don't seem to do anything for me.

Bill, maybe it's because you and I don't drink 15-20 of them like the women seem to do lol. Seems to me every time I turned around they were doing another shot of Hot Damns. And after we all had done all the traditional toasts, they were toasting things like "it's Saturday night" or "it's 8:15pm", just any old thing in order to do another Hot Damn lol.
