Well, I now have my dress and my bridal tiara... but I have yet to figure out what shoes I'm wearing (heels, sandals, slippers, tennis shoes). So ladies, I need your advice- what shoes did you were for your wedding and reception?

 

Well...I wanted to wear flip flops..but my mommy wouldn't let me , so for the wedding I wore a nice pair of heels about about half way through the reception they came off and I just went around in my nylons, lol (see that is why my mommy should have let me wear flip flops).

wear whatever shoes you want to! my dress was big so it covered anything lol. I was going to wear these really cute red heels but they didn't strike me as perfect when i got them.

then i found these bronze gold slip on flats with a little bow on them. OMG i had to buy them. so thats what i wore. i wear them all the time now too. no sense in getting shoes you only wear once. thats the dresses job.

i say you wear those monster feet slippers.=)

I wore some really cute heels for the wedding, and then i had a little pair of white slippers for the reception.  Like another girl said, more than likely, you're dress is gonna be big enough to cover your feet and no one will see your shoes anyways!

I wore heels the whole time...Thank Gosh they were comfortable!

I agree!!! I wore a cute mid-heel shoe. Sling back and open toe. They were super cute!! And comfy. And wore them all night. There are some really cute shoes on zappos.com.

And the whole match shoe with dress thing is so over. So get creative!! And don't spend too much, because no one will see your shoes. hahahah. 

 

Well you have to really know me to get this, but believe it or not I had custom new balance shoes made for my wedding.  Tennis shoes and hubby and I loved them.  They had the red that my dress had in it.  I cant find the picture right now, but you can email me if you want to see it and I try to find it.  Nobody knew any different until my husband lifted up my dress to get the garder off.  Of course EVERYONE laughed because I am goofy and not truely a girly-girl so it was fitting.  Looking back it was the best decision I ever made!  We had a traditional lutheran wedding so it was like an hour or so long and we stood most of the time, so it was great!!!  Actually there is a picture of us kissing and mike holding me in his blues that New Balance used for an ad :)  You can kind of see my dress in the sig so it was big enough to cover them!

two of my friends wore white ballet shoes at their weddings. ballet shoes are soooo comfy.. IF you break them in before the big day!!

I know personally, I'm just gonna have to find a pair of super comfy heels, cause Jimmy is almost a foot taller than me... Lol. And I just love how I feel in heels anyway.

I wore heals and then just went barefoot at the reception. If it would have come to mind to wear some cute flats or even flip flops, I would've bc my feet were BLACK by the end of the night.

Brad is the same height as me, I'll probably wear some flats or something whenever we get married, if I have a long dress because I have really wanted a calf length dress also- so in that case I have no idea what I would do!!

Nothing. We were barefoot.

 

Perfect for dancing anf running away from the people you dont feel like talking to lol.

I had steve madden ballet flats! I loved them! I always end up taking off my heels if I am wearing them, but the flats stayed on the whole time!

I wore heels for the ceremony and pictures.  but then white slippers at the reception.  Some of my friends just wore white flip flops.  if you're planning on doing lots of dancing, you will NOT want those heels on!! haha and more than likely your dress will cover up the shoes of your choice anyway!

I'm getting married on the beach so i'll be barefoot :)

I wore beaded sandals with a low heel. I didn't want to get my dress altered, and I needed about a 1.5 in heel to make it sit perfectly. I got married on the grass above the beach, but ended up taking off the heels right after the ceremony anyway. They kept sticking into the grass, and then we went down for pictures on the beach, so it wasn't worth it. My sister and I got matching ones (mine in silver, hers in gold) and JC Penny the day before the wedding lol.
