    Wedding Party Question

Hey ladies!  Okay, here's my oh-so-technical question of the day....

Tim is having a best man and 6 groomsmen.  Only one of his groomsmen is a Marine; the rest are civilians.  How did you all handle a mix as far as the order goes?  I've been trying to find pictures online to see if it would be weird to have "Marine groom, civi, civi, civi, Marine, civi, civi, civi" but I can't find any.  Anybody got any input?  I might just put him at the end so there's a Marine at both ends.  Gosh, I'm way too technical when it comes to this stuff.

Do you want the groomsman to wear his dress blues?

I think it'd be nice if Tim is the only one wearing his blues, and the rest of the groomsmen would wear tuxes.

It's basically one of those things where I would get the evil "look" if I even mentioned the thought of Harper not wearing his blues.

haha. I agree that it won't matter where he stands. It'll look good no matter what. What about your favors? Focus on those. hahaha.

    Re: Wedding Party Question

I think having the Marine at the end sounds cool...I can picture it in my head, lol. Our best man at our hypothetical wedding (haha :P) is going to be a Marine so I'm going to have two Marines next to each other. But I saw something this summer that I think I'll copy...the groom wears medals and any groomsmen/sword detail will wear ribbons to distinguish.

George wore his white trousers with ribbons (its authorized), and the guys all wore blue trousers with ribbons

That's what we did. We had Tim, and 3 groomsmen. 1 of them was a Marine and he was at the end. Tim wore his medals and the other Marine wore his ribbons. I didn't even plan it that way they just did it lol. But it looked good - and made me feel like a smart Marine wife when I was able to explain to my mom and a few other guests the difference :) Here are some pics so you can get an idea of how it looks...
