    Question about boot camp

Im a Junior in High School and i really want to join the Reserves so i can get my 4 year degree and eventually go to OCS school. My question is as soon as im done my junior year...like the day i become a senior (first day of summer vacation between Junior and Senior years)...can i enlist on the Reserves and go to bootcamp that same summer so i can get it out of the way instead of doing it after i graduate from high school? Thanks for your time!

    Re: Question about boot camp

    Brian,

The answer to your question is no.  You can not attend bootcamp between your junior and senior year.  You can enlist in the delayed entry program at that time, but you will attend bootcamp immediately following your high school graduation, then do your freshman year of college, then MOS school between your freshman and sophmore year, sophmore year of college, MCT between your sophmore and junior year.  At any point in this you can apply for PLC or Platoon Leaders Course.  If accepted to PLC, the Juniors summer may replace MCT, and the second half of PLC can take place between your junior and senior year of college.  That way, you graduate and are then commissioned.
