Ann, could you put a sticky on this please? Thanks.
Chris
I had never heard this song before but this morning as I was on my way home I was scanning the radio and heard it. I'm glad there wasn't much traffic on the interstate between Hattiesburg and Meridian cause it's kinda hard to drive when your eyes are sweatin. A beautiful but sad song.
God Bless our Troops. Please remember and honor our Fallen Warriors.
This first link is a great slide show someone put together using this song. They made the words to the song fit with the pictures perfectly

This second link is Tim McGraw performing his song at the ACM awards. Notice at the end when the back of the statge lights up, there are families of Fallen Warriiors there.

Semper Fidelis,

Later that night, while I was thinking about the day's somber events, Cpl. Richard A. Mason, an infantryman with Headquarters Platoon, who, in the short time I was with the company became a good friend, told me, "You're still here, don't forget that. Tell your kids, your grandkids, what Sgt. Peralta did for you and the other Marines today."
Quote from a story written by combat correspondent LCpl Travis J. Kaemmerer who, unfortunately, died in a car crash in Virginia after returning from Iraq.
