An anchor baby is a baby born in the U.S. of illegal immigrant parents. Although the parents have broken our immigration laws, the baby is, by law, an American citizen. When an effort is made to deport the illegal immigrants, they cry poor mouth that the family will be separated and the do gooders say, "aw let them stay". Records show that there are over 165,000 anchor babies born in the U.S. EVERY YEAR ! This means all the medical care, education and social benefits for these babies falls on the taxpayers-------YOU. Most of these babies are born in U.S. county hospitals near the border and 100% paid for by taxpayers.

I think that being born within U.S borders should not guarantee citizenship. Just my opinion and I live on the border. Juarez is about 2 clicks from my crib.

I know I don't like it. Not in MY United States.... 

I believe we're the only country that has this nutty concept.  All the third-generation ragheads who are trying to screw up Europe are not citizens of the respective countries they live in.

The newly elected congresman from East Tennessee, and a friend of mine, is introducing a law that at least ONE of the parents MUST be a U.S. citizen for the baby to be an automatic citizen.   He is REP. DAVID DAVIS. 

Good for Rep. Davis. We need more like him.

Now that's common sense!

BOTH parents should be citizens before their spawn gets citizenship. If ONE is a citizen, and the other is not, then deport the non-citizen with the child and fine the citizen for harboring a criminal.
