Put the Marine Corps emblem on doormats and toilet paper? I am deeply offended at the idea of my Eagle, Globe and Anchor wiping either feet or behinds.

I dont really have an explanation for the door mat, but if you read the product details of the toilet paper, its reads:

Novelty item. "If you actually use this product on your behind. The Gunny will come to your house & beat you."

The intension of this product is to serve as decoration or as a funny gift....Sgt.Grit would never do anything to mock the Corps.

Carried both products for years, you are the first to complain. If more start complaining then I will look into it, otherwise its just you. Gunny Davis

That and I've only seen large floor/doormats w/ our emblem at just about every Battalion CP I've ever been to. Hell, I remember as a recruit when we were at Edson range chow hall there was one there. We werent allowed to step on the emblem.

It always rubbed me the wrong way also. I wouldn't buy it.

Perhaps some bin ladin toilet paper.

 

I see the tp everywhere - px, Marine Museum etc..., I have a Semper Fidelis door mat at the entrance to my cubicle at work - most folks try not to step on it, its funny watching them straddle it or jump over it, its a fricking FLOOR MAT, it goes on the floor its not like a Waterford print, or a uniform or a flag.... 

THe TP seems to me to be a novelty item which won't be used.  However, the door/floor mats, and car floor mats, have always left me with the question "What Marine without a Big Chicken Dinner would put his feet on the emblem/seal of the Corps?"  To each his own on this stuff I guess.

Suggestion: Taliban Toilet Paper. I'd buy it.
