    hahha.

Tom called last night-YAY!!!! Pom Poms

The funny thing is he asked me to start sending less food and stuff in my packages because he's running out of room to store it all-hahahah.

Too bad my parents just sent him a 31 pound box yesterday-hahah. At least I know he likes what I'm sending right?

I just wish he had more room =( I bet he does too-lol.

I send one a week, and my parents do the same maybe more. I told him I'd just send smaller boxes. I figured maybe if I do less food and more magazines or something like that.

    What do you guys think?

Quick question? Are you ladies sending the Flat Rate boxes??? Or regular boxes that you're sending Priority Mail???

Because the MOST weight that I've managed to fit into a Flat Rate is roughly 12 lbs..... and you can't fit a whole ton of food... so I don't think my DH is going to be asking me anytime soon to stop sending him food....

If your sending in a regular box and sending it Priority, whats the average cost for a "heavy" box?

We'll I have been sending just plain brown boxes..I sent one on Monday it was 8lbs and cost me $8.50. However, I sent a box out the week before at a different post office, it was a brown box too - it was 11lbs and only cost me $6.50. I don't know what the cost difference was. But Daniel got the one I sent Monday, November 6th on the 11th - so I thought that was good..Needless to say I am going to the better post office from now on..LOL The people there are nicer too!

I send Matt stuff about once a week (by flat rate boxes) and his grandma sends him stuff, so does his mom, a lady from his mom's work, and his real dad. So he gets a lot and so does his roommates (they all share all of their stuff! LOL) But when they do mail call later that day other guys come to their room asking what they don't anything. I guess they put the stuff they don't want in a box and give it away. LOL

I'm lucky because I live in New Jersey, for me it takes the same amount of time for something to get there whether I send it Priority or Parcel Post (we are only paying for shipping to NYC), so of course I send it parcel post.

If you can find a good mail man (or woman), ask them what is best for you.

I figured its about $1 per pound. I sent a 37lb box to him Priority, a week and a half ago, he got it in a week and it only cost me $36 to send. So honestly I am more about the really big boxes instead of flat rate. :)

I usually just send regualr boxes. It seems like it is cheaper. I can usually only fit 5-7lbs in a flat rate and I spend 8.10 on that...but then I can fit more in a regualr box and I spend less. I am not really sure why this is. I heard that it costs less to ship to FPO/APO but I am not sure if that is right. Anyway, I find it cheaper to just to regular boxes. Smile
