    i know aerosol cans, liquids and porn, how about cigarettes? whats controband whats legal nowadays?

    I haven't heard from any of our mothers who have had trouble sending them. I sent cartons of them to my oldest several times. I don't see them posted as restricted/banned on any of our lists, including the info we got from local post offices as well as lists from various units.

    I'd venture to say that unless the KVs have specifically been informed to tell you they are a unit no-no...go ahead and send them. GunnyD especially will correct us if that's wrong; he just retrograded back a few months ago.

    Liquids are not necessarily contraband items.

    Of course, liquor is contraband - it's prohibited, and you're not supposed to send carbonated beverages, but juice boxes and such are generally fine.
