My mom's way of surviving after 6 months of being a bad Yeti and not writing or calling home. Was to send me a shoebox full of postcards.
All were stamped.
All were addressed to various family members.
All were noted with any special occasions, BDay's and and stuff with little stickies to the date in question.
I believe her words to me were, as long as the family gets these we will know your ok.
I would get a new box every 2 months along with a usually care package. Though mom did start getting hand written letters after that first time.
